There probably is not a more suitable location for one of the world’s first interdisciplinary certificates in Arctic studies than the ������Ƶ.

The School of Education and Department of Ethnic Studies have partnered to offer a new program that will allow future teachers to earn a bachelor’s degree in ethnic studies and a master’s degree in education in five years. The new “4+1 Ethnic Studies and Education Concurrent Degree Program” will begin admitting students in spring 2017.

While there have been a number of studies that have explored African American “movement culture” and African American “movement politics,” rarely has the mixture of black music and black politics or, rather, black music an as expression of black movement politics, been explored across several genres of African American “movement music.
