- The College of Music鈥檚 2024 New Opera Workshop (CU NOW) is underway, leading up to performances of Gene Scheer鈥檚 鈥淧olly Peachum鈥濃攁s well as performances of opera scenes presented by our Composer Fellows鈥 Initiative鈥攊n June.

- On Feb. 25, undergraduate cellist Louis Saxton and graduate violinist Rinat Erlichman were awarded first prizes in the College of Music鈥檚 annual Concerto Competition. Congratulations to all participating students and collaborative pianists!
- This year marks a milestone for Professor of Musicology Carlo Caballero who鈥攁long with his academic partner Stephen Rumph, professor of music history at the University of Washington鈥攚ill co-host the Faur茅 Centennial Festival in Boulder, Feb. 27-March 3.

But there鈥檚 much more鈥攖he wonderfully rich harmonies of choral music, hundreds of rarely heard sacred songs and folk songs that deserve more exposure. Doctoral student O鈥橬eil Jones is about to make that happen.
