International Community Conversation Hour at Frasier Meadows
On June 4, 2025, eight of our international students and scholars joined the ISSS office on a visit to Frasier Meadows, where we were warmly joined by nine members of the Frasier Meadows community in Boulder. It was an incredible conversation, filled with understanding, empathy, and genuine connection.
We shared our experiences and concerns as international students living and studying in the U.S. during these uniquely challenging times. The residents not only listened with compassion but also expressed a deep and sincere interest in supporting our international community.
Everyone we met came from a different background and brought such wisdom and warmth to the table. It was truly meaningful to connect across generations and to feel so welcomed. One of the scholars shared that she had never felt this kind of connection with local people before—and for the first time, she felt truly seen and cared for by members of the community here.
What moved us deeply was hearing that we’re welcome to return anytime, and that the grandmothers and grandfathers at Frasier Meadows will be there for us whenever we need support.
It was a truly special experience—one that reminded us all of the power of human connection. We’re so grateful for the time we shared, and we’re already looking forward to going back.
