Peter H. WoodÌýtaught early American historyÌýatÌýÌýand is now an adjunct professor at the Î÷¹ÏÊÓÆµ. His influential book, Black MajorityÌý(1974) about slavery in colonial South Carolina is now in an expanded 50th-anniversary edition. He is a co-author of the U.S. History survey, Created Equal (5 editions) and Winslow Homer’s Images of Blacks: The Civil War and Reconstruction Years (1988). Other works include:
